Community Development Director
HAPEC, an Adirondack region nonprofit organization, seeks full-time Community Development Director.
This position is responsible for grant writing, administration, and daily operation of a variety of housing
rehabilitation and improvement programs.
The successful candidate will have:
- strong program management skills
- the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people
- excellent writing skills
- a thorough knowledge of housing systems and programs or be willing and excited to learn
- a strong team-oriented approach, and
- a passion for improving the lives of our community members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field of study and 2 years of prior experience in housing and community development. A Master’s Degree may be substituted for working experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office and database skills
- Construction experience is a plus
We offer a competitive benefits package with a salary range of $50,000 – $55,000 based on experience.
To the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for training and employment will be extended to lower income project area residents.
